Welcome! Louhoo Farm is a 1/2 acre market garden farm specializing in high-quality vegetables. Our farm is located in North Saanich, BC, on the traditional, unceded lands of the SENĆOŦEN speaking W̱S͸ḴEM (Tseycum) and BOḰEĆEN (Pauquachin) peoples of the W̱SÁNEĆ nation.
Louhoo Farm is located at The Sandown Center for Regenerative Agriculture as apart of their Regenerative Farming Program; a program that is focused on land restoration and building healthier soils. Sandown is a great example of the efforts across the Peninsula to restore soil health, increase fertility, and reduce pollution.
We are committed to using organic and regenerative farming methods and farming ecologically. Farming ecologically to us means rebuilding soil health, growing a wide variety of crops, and working with the land instead of against it. We use low-till practices, cover cropping, crop rotation and composting to minimize soil disturbance and sequester carbon.
You can find us at the Esquimalt Farmers markets every Thursday from 4:30-7:30pm in Memorial Park, starting June 4.

Louhoo Veggie Boxes
Eat locally summer-fall, try new vegetables, support young farmers, connect with community, and simplify your meal plan. Signing up for our CSA means you will recieve 6-8 different high quality, seasonal vegetables for every week you sign up. $30/week, comparable to grocery store prices, but way better tasting ;)
CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) is a program where community members buy portions of a farm’s harvest at the beginning of the farming season, in return for a weekly box of fresh produce during harvest season. The up front capital helps with farmer’s early season opperational costs, and connects us directly to our customers. The vegetables in our CSA box will be harvested the day before and the day of pick up, and will include weekly recipe cards and the occasional newsletter. Box pick up is near the Red Barn on Oak Bay Avenue on Tuesdays.

In an effort to keep our CSA accessible, and for as many people to enjoy our vegetables as possible, we are offering payment plan options in limited quantities. Please email us at louhoofarm@gmail.com if you would like to discuss setting up incremental payments, or if you have any questions at all.
We are trying to make the box a balance of fan favourite veg, with some things you may have not tried before. We also are striving to offer the most diversity of vegetables we can on our small plot. You can expect to find some repetition, and some new things each week.
